Driver - Robert Doornbos

He competed in several F3 championships during the years 2001 until 2003.
Drove Formule 3000 in 2004, with the team lead by no other than Christian Horner, who he will met again in 2006 in the Formule 1.

He raced, tested and drove demo runs in Formula 1 cars. Besides F1 he drove in several other race series/classes, where he competed for podiums and points.

In 2004 and 2005 he was the official test driver on the friday free practices of the GP's for Jordan. In 2005 he swithced to Minardi, as racing team member of Christijan Albers, to replace Patrick Friesacher who had sponsor contract issues. Which resulted in a third all Dutch driver team in one F1 team.

After Minardi was sold by the end of 2005 and renamed Scuderia Toro Rosso, there was no longer a seat for him. Until Christian Horner appointed him as their test- and reserve driver in the main team, Red Bull Racing for 2006.

In 2007 he drove in the Champcar Series overseas. Followed by the Superleague Formula, and continueing his racing career in the A1GP series during 2008-2009 season. 

Also he performed a Formule 1 test for Renault in 2008. The 2009 saison he finished in the IndyCar series for two different teams teams. After which he returned to the Superleague Formula in 2010 and 2011.

Today he is a regular guest in F1 related programs for Ziggo broadcasting company.
